"No family support at all"

About: Manchester Royal Infirmary

no family support at all!! there are only a handful of staff who are willing to help family members and when some one tells them how to do there job proper they turn it on the family. they kept me in the dark over my dads op. they left me guessing what was going on! they told me that he would be on ward 8 after his op it took me an hour to find out that they put him on ward 11 and they didn't even think he was with any one "you are shouting and being aggressive I will call Security is the easy way out for them instead of saying sorry we should have told you what was Happening " this is just the tip of the ice burg MRI is the worst hospital in the North West family support needs to be improved

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to learn that your experience was not as positive as we would hope on Wards 8 and 11. It is important to us that comments are heard and seen as an opportunity provided to the service to make changes and improvements wherever possible.

In response to your comment, I can assure you that we will look at how we communicate with patients and their relatives and will ensure that your concerns are raised directly with the staff involved so that they can look into them and learn from them in order to avoid other patients or relatives experiencing the same issues as you did.
