"Fracture Clinic"

My son fractured his elbow on the 19 Dec so we went to A&E on the 20 Dec. He was x rayed and a follow up appointment was made for him on New Years Eve. The consultant told him that he would need an urgent appointment within 7 days for a CT Scan to ascertain whether he would need an operation to pin and plate his elbow, and then an urgent appointment to discuss the results with the consultant. When we went to make these appointments we were told by the receptionists of both departments that they don't do urgent appointments. My son has finally received an appointment for his CT scan for the 17 Jan and he gets to discuss the results on the 4 Feb with the consultant.
