"Nursing staff very good but communication lacking"

About: Nuffield Health, Guildford Hospital

Pre-admission assessment form was completed to note abnormal LFTs, however was still phoned up about this by consultant's secretary as if it had not been mentioned. On admission, discussion was had about whether to use Voltarol or not, staff decided not to but didn't tell me at the time. Did actually have some, came out in a rash later which was assumed to be Voltarol-caused, however not proven .... then Voltarol was included in discharge medicines, and when I queried this the nurse checked the other paperwork and discovered it should not have been!! Also could the hospital please ask nurses & other staff interacting with patients not to wear perfume or aftershave - when you feel sick anyway, it really doesn't help! Do check the drugs that are being given to make sure they are appropriate. On the plus side, the nursing staff (with one exception) were kind, caring, and one in particular really did go the extra mile to ensure I was comfortable.
