"Why the NHS is so important"

About: Stepping Hill Hospital

I was suffering from aches around the chest and could not get to sleep, looked up the symptoms on my computer, saw the possibility of heart attack, rang 111, within minutes an ambulance with paramedics arrived, they gave me my first ECG and it was negative, and took me to the Emergency Department for around 2 am. 8hrs later after two more negative ECGs, blood tests and chest X-Ray, I was discharged with medicines for a suspected infection in the chest area. I was delighted with this outcome, even though a little groggy from the experience! I was very impressed by the professionalism, compassion and friendliness of all the staff with whom I came into contact.
