"If only all doctors could be as nice"

Took my 83 year old Father to this hospital after waiting for ever for the gp referral (Gp at fault). Disabled parking was in a good place , quite a lot of spaces, but never enough!. Had to go to clinic via main door. Everyone was so nice & so helpful . checked in & was seen before appointment time, I live in London & this never happens there! Went in to see his doctor ~ if only all doctors could be like him, so nice & so caring even taking the trouble to try & explain to a confused old man in words he could understand. Examined my Father even though he did not think the problems my Father is having were with what he deals with. Then asked a nurse to go to a ward to get something he felt would help my father. The doctor advised us what we needed to do next before he shook hands with us all. The care & compassion of this doctor made me almost want to hug him. I have never known another NHS Doctor show such care. If we ever get the GP to refer us to the department the doctor recommended then I just hope they show the same level of care to us.
