After visiting the MK HealthCare Walk-In Centre in the small hours my condition did not improve and rather than visit (as directed) my GP's surgery nurse later that morning for further assessment, I decided to go direct to the A&E dept. of Milton Keynes Hospital. After a short wait, approximately 30 minutes I was 'triaged' and from that moment on the health care, treatment, information given and 'customer service' was extremely good - considerably better than what the general media and press had given to expect. I remained in hospital for 3 days during which the treatment and care given resolved my injury and infection and took away the pain. I was particularly surprised and impressed with the variety, choice and standard of food offered and sampled! All the staff including Health Care Assistants, Cleaners, Nurses, Reception, Volunteers, Doctors, Consultants and Registrars were excellent and the amenities were fantastic! I apologise if I have missed out any category of employee's or carers. In summation, my experience was more akin to a stay in a 5* hotel rather than what I had been led to expect from Milton Keynes NHS Hospital. Generally, probably like most of us, I do not have the inclination to give feedback to websites but credit is due on each and every exception and this is exactly one of them. Well done to all at MK Hospital.
"Excellent A&E Visit with Outstanding Health Care"
