I have recently had a terrible experience at Whipps Cross a&e. I attended following possible exposure to a toxin and am pregnant. I was told to expect the results of the blood test which would tell whether I and my unborn baby had been exposed, the following day. Myself, my GP and other a&e staff at the Royal London have spent signifiant amounts of time chasing the results of this important blood test since. Two weeks later I am informed that the blood test was never actually requested from Whipps Cross. I am extremely disappointed by this care, in fact I can barely call it care. This has been very anxiety-provoking experience, and continues to be so. As well as a significant waste of my time, and the time of other health professionals, this is unsafe practice.
