My son came into hospital for a knee operation. At 7.50 his surgeon told him he'd see him in 10 minutes. Several hours later a nurse informed us his notes had gone missing. After 5 hours still no notes but fortunately his surgeon agreed to go ahead with op. It wasn't so much the waiting as the lack of communication. We did get an apology but only when he was finally on his way to theatre.
