I suffered a heart attack on the evening 7th Jan 2014. The care I received from everyone who I encountered can only be described as outstanding. The paramedic who first called to my home, the ambulance crew who took me to hospital straight into the theatre where dr's and staff treated me with the upmost respect and dignity sorting out my problem immediately. I was on Roding Ward recovering within a very short space of time. All of the staff, everyone, on Roding ward was so friendly and very professional I felt I was receiving the best possible care that could be had anywhere. My treatment was explained to me, before I went in I had no idea about what went on in a cardiac unit, or hospital for that matter. On discharge again every detail was explained so I felt comfortable about my recovery and what to do next. I was only there a few days, and most of the time a bit dazed and shocked by what had happened to me, but the passion and care with which everyone I encountered did their jobs I cannot praise enough. Thank you all. Richard.
