"Nurses great but admin awful!"

About: Kent & Canterbury Hospital

My procedure was fine but I have no idea what they did! I had just come round from the general anaesthetic when the surgeon appeared and told me something I can't recall. I thought I was going to see him in a month in outpatients. 4 weeks later I have heard nothing, I am worried about my operation as my voice has not returned, I don't know what they found or what I am supposed to do, and every time I phone ENT secretaries I get an answer phone. I have phoned many times over the past few days and left messages. I am so worried I think the only thing I can do is see my GP and get a referral to see the same surgeon privately. It's ridiculous. That will cost me £200 that I don't have. So, the nurses were good, but I have been left confused and distressed with the aftercare. ie- none.
