"Exemplary care - praise where praise is due"

About: Southampton General Hospital

Have had a very stressful and worrying few months after being diagnosed with Skin Cancer in September 2013 and being referred to Southampton Maxillofacial unit. The staff on both the Maxillofacial unit and on the day (and of course the staff in the CT scan and nuclear medicine unit) could not have been kinder and more sympathetic and softened the blow of what I was going through. My partner and I cannot thank enough the doctor and his team for their kindness and humour and guidance through this difficult time - with the best outcome I could have wished for. Special mention has to go to the Receptionist in the Maxillofacial Unit who was always smiling and nothing was ever too much trouble considering she was working on her own and often had a queue of people waiting to book in (as the booking system wasnt working). She always had a smile and was cheerful even when dealing with the more difficult of visitors.

Thank you so much for taking the time to provide your positive feedback and I will ensure this is passed on to the staff concerned. I wish you well for your ongoing treatment.
