"I was given reams of helpful information ..."

About: University Hospital Lewisham

(as the patient),

What I liked

I was given reams of helpful information booklets regarding my illness, with kindness and consideration for my condition

and wellbeing. This occurred in the breast clinic and all other departments, i.e. x-ray, haematology, etc. Treatments carried out successfully, so far.

Urgent and speedy referrals were made to all departments needed. Excellent follow-up procedures in place.

What could be improved

The small area where the Breast clinic is held seems rather gloomy and cramped. It is a pity that the staff that work there are not given a brighter, more spacious and modern department to hold there clinics. This would also benefit patients.

Anything else?

I have total trust in the whole range of staff at the hospital, which include doctors, surgeons, radiographers, radiologists, nursing and a whole range of ancilliary staff, such as secretaries, receptionists, clerical and portering, who deal with you in a caring, cheerful manner.
