My pre op assessment assured me that I was in good hands and alleviated any fears I had.
I felt the entire procedure was a well thought out plan involving doctors, nurses, theatre staff, both physiotherapists and occupational therapists as well as the community nurses. The plan also included my transport home.
At all times I was kept well informed of procedures. This gave me a very positive attitude towards my operation.
During this time all medical and ancillary staff I met with were true professionals, caring and friendly.
The standard of care I received was excellent, the best possible. It could not have been better.
It’s now up to me to keep going with my exercises!
The shower unit within the ward could be improved
