"Excellent this time"

About: Leighton Hospital

My mother was admitted to A&E on Sunday December 22nd and the doctors and staff were caring and sympathetic towards my elderly mother. She was then moved to Ward 3 where all the staff are excellent with one of the best nurses my mother had been looked after(she had a 5week stay in August) In fact the nurse should do Ward rounds as I'm sure she'd soon sort out the problem wards(my mother experienced this on wards 12 & 13 during her previous stay)My mother was then moved to Ward 14 who had excellent staff also who kept us informed and looked after my mother. The staff on Ward 3 & 14 renewed my faith in Leighton hospital.

Response from Leighton Hospital

Thank you for your comments regarding the care your mother received during her recent admission to Leighton hospital. I am sorry to hear that she did not receive the care we strive to deliver on all our wards during her previous admission. The staff on wards 3 and 14 will be delighted to hear how much their caring and sympathetic approach was appreciated by you and your mother. If you wish to discuss your earlier concerns in more detail, please do not hesitate to contact the customer care team on 01270 278098 who will be happy to assist. Jayne Hartley, Deputy Director of Nursing and Quality.
