"Fantastic A&E department"

I took our 5 year daughter to A&E after 6 days of really high temps/vomiting, although we had visited our GP twice by this point and had a referral to the children's ward, we had been told it was viral. By day 6 I felt unhappy with the diagnosis and took her to A&E, where we had the most wonderful care and check over by the triage nurse, then a truly fantastic check over by the dr, who believed it was a chest infection and sent her for a chest x-ray to find yes our little girl had Pneumonia. The doctor also called the play therapist to assist with our daughter while she was distressed and I can not rate them highly enough, they had a fantastic manner with our daughter and took my views as a parent seriously. We were then admitted and received fantastic care from the overnight nurse on duty for our bay and again another fine example of the great healthcare available at Frimley Park Hospital. There is so much negative press about the NHS but there really are some fantastic people working and still caring in this profession, we were lucky enough to experience this on our visit this week - well done to those mentioned and a huge thank you for getting our daughter diagnosed and then cared for. It is such a joy to have our girl back again as it's been a very long week.
