My wife unfortunately fell at 7-30 pm entering a friends wedding reception on New years eve, because of the lack of external light. I drove her to the Lister hospital and was seen promptly and was X rayed, at no time was she seen by a doctor, but a Practitioner nurse and was told there was no break, This was not true. There was a break and was not spotted until the final inspection by the senior radiographer nine days later. We were contacted and told to return immediately. She has seen quite a few doctors on our return, and has been informed that it was very hard to spot the break, and they were sorry for the pain and discomfort this has caused her. My wife hobbled with swollen foot in extreme pain of nine days, my Anger and frustration is that this was preventable if the right person had seen there at the time. I would have expected that because of the occasion "New years eve" there should have been a more qualified second opinion available. We will not forget our New years eve party in a hurry.
"New Years Eve, shambles"
