I had my baby at barnet hospital end of September 2013, just prior to the changes within this department. This is my 4th baby, and I had a terrible experience at a hospital rated excellent for obstetric care with my 3rd and was incredibly nervous. From start to delivery the care was great. The clinics were manic, and I was always prepared to wait at least an hour to be seen but the doctors were great, especially my consultant. I had medical problems in pregnancy and required haematology input- The doctor was also fantastic and communication between the two teams exemplary. I worried that because this was my 4th baby my worries about the delivery would be ignored. They weren't, the midwives listened and understood and When I did deliver (alone due to fast labour post induction) it went so well and I was so grateful- I didn't feel scared to do it alone. I was also able to discuss with doctors in the weeks before my delivery how I wanted to manage my care- i was against being induced and this was respected and I was allowed a further week to try to manage my condition through medical treatment until I had no other option. Thank you once again, I have praised your care far and wide!!
"Highly recommended for pre peri and post natal..."
