I am writing on behalf of my family to thank all of the staff who were involved in the care of our lovely Mum Mrs Peggy Astbury who passed away at Pinderfields Hospital on the 10th January 2014. Mum was on Ward 28, from the day she was admitted both Mum and her family in particular were treated with kindness and respect. We appreciate that everything was done until her final days to try and keep her pain free and comfortable. Her consultant was so kind and compassionate when we received the devastating news that Mum had terminal cancer as well as other complications. All of the staff, without exception were wonderful ~ we would like to thank the main nurses who cared for Mum. Also all of the auxiliary staff. Mum said that she couldn’t have been cared for any better if she’d been the Queen herself. All of the staff were so very kind and had a special gift, thank you so very much to everyone. The staff treated us with such compassion when Mum had passed away and guided us so well through our final goodbyes. We felt assured that they would look after her. Thank you for allowing me to stay overnight, including making me comfortable to stay with Mum and for the concessionary parking provision throughout her stay. All of the above has helped us to deal with such a devastating loss to our family ~ thank you to everyone concerned from the bottom of our hearts, for firstly looking after our Mum so very well and also for looking after us with such kindness and respect. Mrs Julie Allen
"Thank you following the illness of Mrs Peggy..."
