I can't talk too highly of the care and support I and my wife received when I suffered a heart attack on the 14th December. Every stage saw me meet highly professional and caring people ranging from the paramedics who took me to hospital after administering the first stage of care in my home; staff in A&E including the X-ray Dept., the CCU where even the cleaning staff had the same caring attitude, Coventry hospital where I had a stent fitted and, of course, the various nurses and heart specialists who saw me while I was there. Even the food was very enjoyable, totally belying the past reputation of hospital food generally. While I hope never to repeat the experience, the quality of care and service was so high that you wonder why the news media adopts such an unjustified critical view of the NHS! David.
