"Never get through to Admissions or the waiting..."

About: Chase Farm Hospital

My husband is on the waiting list since 7th November 2013 after being referred from our GP for removal of a lump to the back of his head. We have both tried on numerous occasions to get through to admissions and the waiting times office for the past 1 month, to see what the delay is in him getting a scheduled date for surgery. No-one ever picks up the telephone despite trying nearly every day of the week and different times throughout the day from 08.00 to 18.00 hrs. Now I am a nurse in the NHS and no that they are in breach with the 18 week wait from time of referral to actual treatment. The joke is that he was sent a letter in November to schedule a surgical date, when we both physically went into the waiting times office we were told to ignore the letter as the telephone number on the letter was not even a Chase Farm Hospital letter, we were told to wait for another letter in the post.
