"Knee operation"

About: Emersons Green NHS Treatment Centre

The surgeon himself has always been polite and respectful. The waiting time from first outpatient appointment and having to stay and wait for bloods etc was too long...judging from amount of patients in department it is likely appointments are overloaded otherwise not enough staff recruited to deal with demand. The first appointment I needed ECG which showed abnormalities which somewhat alarmed me....when met with the anaesthetist he did nothing to reassure me just telling me 'no one in their right mind would put you on an operating table, you need to see your GP'. He then expected me to just trot out and be accepting of the damaging statement he had made. When questioned what is wrong with my heart get accused me of harassing me and got someone from management to ask me to leave. When I asked him for copy of ECG to show my go he refused, only the chap get had called in got me a copy. He did not ask if I had family history and had he done he would have understood my worries as my father had a heart transplant.
