My elderly mum has just come home after being in hospital since November. Throughout her time in hospital mums care was first class and cannot be faulted. All staff were genuinely caring and always put the patient first. Further, the staff seemed very happy with the work that they did which to me indicates a good management team. As mums next of kin and main carer I was kept informed of mums progress at all times and was always treated with respect . I am most grateful for the care and attention shown to mum and can only say that private care providers would have a long way to go to beat the care provided by the NHS in Alnwick.

Dear Bernie It must be lovely to have your mum home after being in hospital since November. Thank you so much for sharing your mum’s experience of care at Alnwick Infirmary. How reassuring this must have been for you and the rest of your family to know that she was receiving such excellent levels of care. We know how important it is that families are kept fully informed and involved in their relatives care and it is wonderful know this is just how you felt.
