In short, it took 13 weeks for my psychiatrist at Queen's Medical Centre to write to my doctor and when it finally arrived it was missing two very important details.

I am sorry that you have experienced such a delay in communication between the psychiatrist and your GP, we are working hard with the secretaries and the medical staff to address these sorts of issues.

It would be helpful if I could have more information about what happened to you so that I can look into it properly and offer you an explanation.

I phoned yesterday to explain the problems and was told I'd be called back but still haven't. This is the third time I've been told I'd get a call back and haven't (7 weeks ago and 4 weeks ago). The first time you had the incorrect mobile number (although the home number was correct) but I made sure this was updated and you had both my home and mobile numbers available for the second and third calls.

This is on top of the fact that the doctor had not been provided with my notes in time for my initial appointment in September and I had to come back six weeks later - mid October.

Although I've been very pleased with the clinical side and agree with my treatment plan there appears to be a big problem with admin support which is currently letting the service down.

I will call the number you have provided.
