"Excellent care on Manby ward"

I would just like to express our thanks for the excellent care our Dad received after being transferred from another local hospital at our request to Louth so that he could receive the care that I hoped he would at the right time it was the best place. Dad was diagnosed with Alzheimer's but had other illnesses, he remained lucid at times and always wanted to have his clinic appointments and procedures done at Louth as he didn't want to travel and liked the standard of care there. On December 8th he was diagnosed with lung cancer and though had a period of needing treatments at Grimsby, it was important to come home to Louth so his family and care needs came together. Dads condition had deteriorated quickly in a short time, he suffered severe pain and was anxious that his time was short. I can only say that as soon as Dad relaxed into his bed did he feel safe to rest, the nurses , drs and whole staff from housekeepers and porters were so supportive to us as a family . The quality of the care was exceptional, thankyou all for your support helping our family cope with the changes in his health be more bearable.
