"Haematology & Oncology Centre"

About: Queen Alexandra Hospital

I have recently completed radio therapy treatment for prostate cancer, The treatment lasts 37 days. I was absolutely amazed by the respect, friendliness and efficiency of all the staff that I met. The reception staff at the Haematology and Oncology Centre reception went out of their way to welcome regular patients personally as did the radiology staff and their assistants. They were all cheerful, ready to explain carefully any queries that I had and I was always made to feel valued. It was almost a joy to attend the hospital each day to meet the people that felt like friends. The staff at main reception were also friendly and helpful and willing to help with almost anything. Having any treatment in hospital is never anything that people want but it is made so much less of an unwanted experience if the staff are as good as they were with me at QA. Thank you all.
