Recently Medway Hospital has come under a lot of criticism but I would like to say my experience today in the Nuclear Medicine Department has shown how Excellent staff who are there for the patients can make all the difference to your experience. I went in today an absolute bag of nerves not knowing what to expect from the staff or the procedure. The nurse I first encountered spent time talking to me and explaining what was going to happen, she checked that I was ok before giving me the injection that was required prior to my scan. I was then met by a lovely gent who took me through for my scan. Once again he explained everything to me and made sure I was ok. Thank you to the staff I met and the nuclear Meds team in general you have restored my faith that there is hope for Medway Hospital. Perhaps some of the administrators need to take a look at how staff treat their patients in this department and apply it to other areas in the hospital
