I cannot believe the hutzpah of whoever is in charge of the parking arrangements at this hospital site. I had to come for 2 outpatient appointments here before Christmas. Finding a parking space the first time was an achievement especially as my poor husband had to climb out of the passenger side of the car to get out. However my second visit 2 days later was beyond belief. We arrived in plenty of time for the appointment and there were a few spaces available, however exiting the vehicle once parked would have been impossible. My husband dropped me off and said he would look elsewhere for parking. I validated the parking ticket and was disgusted to find that we were charged £2 for spending 5 minutes (I have the receipt as proof) looking for a space. We live in Birmingham and I am working here temporarily, but back home one gets 15 minutes to find a space before any charge is made. I cannot believe that the local community have not raised arms against such a draconian policy
