I am a 25 year old woman who has been an outpatient of the Uveitis clinic for a few years & I have always been well looked after. I was recently diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis & without Moorfields' checkups on whether I had experienced any back pain, I don't know how long it would have taken to be diagnosed. Ankylosing Spondylitis often takes more than 8 years to be diagnosed so I find myself feeling extremely grateful that I got Uveitis & that I am under Moorfields' care, though I could have done without the eye pain! I am very impressed at how the well the system has worked especially at the communication between hospitals & my GP. I am extremely grateful that the doctors were able to connect the dots & put a name to the suffering I've experienced for years. I am now being treated by the Rheumatology department at University College Hospital after being referred and am on my way to a better life with less pain! Thank you!
"Brilliant care of my overall health"
