"baby born 4 weeks early in corridor due to staff..."

My fourth baby was born in an hour from my first pain in a corridor, with my bed wedged in a door way and across the corridor. This was due to staff not listening to me. And when they finally did it was left too late to transfer me up to delivery. They constantly told me my pain was prostin pains because i had been induced. During delivery midwife had to stand on my bed in order to get to the other side to reach equipment she needed. Ward staff refused to contact my husband as it was after 9pm and partner visiting hours had finished, and because i was still having prostin pains. So i was totally on my own fighting with the staff to make them listen to me for the whole of my labour. My husband missed the birth. My notes had not been read properly or my concerns passed between shifts and upon going to read my notes afterwards ward staff had handed over with me being a different blood group to what i am, had stated in my notes i had taken medicine that i hadn't done, to mention but a few things. I have been so traumatized events i am having counselling. I was disgusted by the explanations given at the time by ward management (things just happened a bit quick, there are no cctv in the ward corridors so my privacy hadn't been invaded and no one else saw). All 3 previous labours to this have been 1hr 20mins or less from my very first pain so its not like it wasn't expected really! 2 were born at home due to how quick my babies arrived! i already hated hospitals before this. Currently waiting a proper response through pals, although this has been a slow process as my baby is now 7 months old! My advice to anyone living in Scunthorpe is go somewhere else!
