"Dirty wards"

About: Royal Stoke University Hospital

I have been in the hospital a few times in the last year and a half and found the cleaners idol, Who left dirt on the floor and walked past it repeatedly and only cleaned it after another patient was so appalled he [ poured ] water over it so she was forced to clean it up.. During my 5 day stay and whereby I signed myself out as had had enough I had rude doctors and a staff nurse who was extremely rude and who noticing my pagan pendant started to rant at me how her family back home were devout Christian ministers and that I was not a good person. Then later when realized I smoked she then said I should not be able to take up a bed or have any form of treatment if I smoke and that was the same for drinkers as it is a sin against god. She then went around the ward removing every patients cannula's then left early. The other nursing staff were livid that she had spoken to me the way she had and then had to go around putting the cannula's back in and as many of the patients were elderly and frail it was disgusting. I was at the time really very ill and I was so annoyed asked for a form to sign my self out. During the 5 day stay I was transferred to 4 different wards it was a nightmare. My family lodged a complaint through pals which got us nowhere..
