"Visit to Orthopedic Consultant - suspected..."

I visited this month and saw an orthopedic consultant, unforunately I cannot remember her name as I was taking lots of medication and in a lot of pain, very emphatic woman. I think the hospital seemed calm, clean, friendly, warm and caring just from walking in to the place. A nurse welcomed me with so much warmth, then my consultant came forward asked me to come in, I said I would be a minute and she said take as much time as you like. All I can say was she was wonderful. I know there are all these procedures with NHS which make people like me stay in pain for weeks, months just waiting and waiting but she was warm, empathetic which is all you need when you are in a lot pain, she listened holistically and apologised for the waiting and the pain I had to endure. She then immediately booked me an MRI scan. She did all she could and since then I have had letters sent me re MRI and follow up appointment and apart from the fact that they are all a long way off, I cannot fault the service. Well done especially on the empathy. I had not had much from doctors and physios etc, yes I know they can do nothing about my situation but just to empathise is very important, as I see it they are in this vocation because they want to care for people who have problems with their health so care!! and show you care, like this wonderful consultant. Thank you.
