"Ankylosing Spondilitis patient"

About: Royal National Hospital For Rheumatic Diseases

I feel very privileged to have been assigned to a particular consultant at the Min. The patient care and specialist knowledge that is available at this hospital from he and his team is second to none. I would be surprised to find anything as good in the private sector! I have been on the AS course at this hospital a total of three times now over a period of 8 years. Each time i have learnt and consolidated my knowledge - and as knowledge really is power where AS is concerned, i will be forever grateful to this hospital for giving me opportunity to deal with my AS in the best possible way. The physios that run the course have just the right combination of knowledge, understanding, fun and serious endeavour to make this course world-class. the additional talks and discussions that take place throughout the course are informative and useful, and the support from all staff involved from pharmacist to podiatrist, councillor and OT is to be highly commended. This small, specialist hospital has something very unique - from the moment i stepped through the doors, I was no longer just another NHS number on the page. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
