Having recently been a patient at this hospital , I was not impressed by the quality of my care. The 19 hours I was an addmited patient on a ward , I had 2 cups of water and a bowl of cornflakes. I arrived in ward and waited a hour in a seat for my bed to turn up. Staff too busy to care for patients , not their fault , as i observed they never stopped working. No follow up letter to my GP . I was left thinking that this experience was a reflection of the whole of the NHS , but having recently been a patient at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital Gateshead for over 3 weeks , I can state that it is the DUH that is the problem not the NHS.
