"Patient medicaiton issues"

About: Sunderland Royal Hospital

I am really pleased to note that mum's care in the hands of nurses in E51 has been excellent (and I must include the catering staff too) since my first posting about the medication issues. Mum too, now that she's a bit more lucid, has repeatedly said the same, and stated "It's not like the last time I was in this hospital (not E51) when the nurses didn't care and a couple were almost rude." I sincerely hope that nursing staff in all wards show the same commitment, needed for rhe reassurance of patients and distressed relative too. If only some (and I repeat 'some' ) were more communicative and less imperious.

Thank you for your comments and I am delighted that your mother's care on ward E51 has been such a positive experience and one which you quite rightly point out should be the same in all other wards. My apologies if previous experiences' have not been to the standard that you or we would expect. I shall however, forward your kind comments to the staff on ward E51.
