"Discharged alone during the night"

About: University Hospital Of North Durham

My daughter was admitted to A and E as an emergency with psychiatric problems. After spending 4 hours on a trolley in A and E she was transferred to Ward 3, she was on a drip which leaked all over her clothes because it hadn't been set up properly. After waiting for 1 hour+ for attention someone finally changed it. Saw psychiatric nurse the following day, was told she would be contacted after she got home once discharged, one month later she's still waiting. All basic checks were done, blood tests completed, but after spending all day with her, results of blood tests hadn't come back so left expecting her to be discharged the following day. At 1.30am received a phone call from my daughter to say her tests were clear so she'd been asked to leave. When I got there I found her standing distressed outside the hospital in her pyjamas. No discharge letter had been given, she was told it would be forwarded to her GP, as yet it still hasn't arrived. I can certainly believe news reports that mental health care is in crisis
