I was very happy with the nursing care and cleanliness when I went in to the Barlborough hospital for a knee replacement. Everyone was kind and friendly.
The only thing I have a problem with was the physiotherapy treatment. When the other three ladies in the ward were taken to walk to the toilet the male physio said he would leave me (I was a little unsteady) and would come back in an hour, but he never came back and because I had not walked with him the nurses would not take me - eventually I just went by myself.
The travel arrangements were very good and the drivers were kind and helpful. I worked hard on my exercises and the surgeon was pleased when I went back after six weeks.
