I was asked to attend the ward my mother is on to talk to the doctors. The ward was dirty and untidy. Every corridor was an obstacle course, difficult for me to walk along, let alone an elderly person with a zimmer frame. It was a health and safety nightmare and would have failed to meet standards of CQC or fire prevention officer
