After being told by a consultant that I was receiving an urgent referral to another department and would receive an appointment in the next couple of weeks. After a month I telephoned the appointments centre several times to be told that I have been referred but not as an urgency, and that I would be sent an appointment. After another couple of calls I was eventually told I had an appointment on the system, (no letter was sent) for 3 months later. Then a month before I receive a letter stating said appointment is cancelled, no no appointment given, just we will notify you to arrange a new appointment. And the final straw letter arrives on a Saturday so I can't do anything about it till Monday, as Appointments centre closed.
