I recently suffered a compound spiral fracture of my tibia and fibula and was admitted to ward F18 at the Queen's Medical Centre. The nursing staff were excellent and the junior doctors were also very nice. They were obviously short-staffed but they did very well. Thank you to the nursing staff on F18, especially the sister in charge who found me a side-room.
The food, however, was totally inedible. How you are supposed to get better eating that I do not know.
On a more negative point, the consultant was very aggressive and upsetting in his manner towards me. He has no emotional intelligence whatsoever and behaved so appallingly that he reduced me to tears. One of his juniors had to come back to apologise.
"Good nursing care, but upsetting treatment by consultant"
