"Thanks so much"

I came to the treatment centre on Saturday 5th October for a flexible sigmoidoscopy. After recently having bad experiences in my local hospital, I was petrified of not only having the procedure, but the overall visit to the hospital. From the moment I arrived at the hospital, to the moment I left, the staff couldn't have done more for me. From the receptionist that showed me where to go, to the HCA who admitted me, the nurses who held my hand during the procedure and helped me afterwards, right up the consultant who treated me with dignity and respect, I was so impressed with the dedication and commitment shown by all. I was instantly put at ease by all staff and everything was explained to me so that I would understand exactly what was going on and when I was in pain, the nurses and doctor were so reassuring and empathetic, that it really helped me a lot. It's clear to me that the staff work extremely hard to ensure that patients are looked after appropriately and they deserve so much credit. I'd like to say thank you to everyone that helped me and treated me on Saturday, because you restored my faith in the NHS.
