"Day Podiatry Surgery Heel Spur Removal"

I had a heel spur removed as a day case two weeks ago and cannot fault the hospital. Staff were informative and friendly and put me at ease which was important as I had a nerve block anaesthetic so was awake during the surgery. All members of the team were excellent including pre and post op care. You really get a sense of teamwork and that the staff enjoy working there and they took great care to ensure that I was kept informed at all stages of my care. The surgical team were fantastic as was the anaesthetist and the pre and post op staff. The hospital was clean and bright and I must also praise the catering staff who bought food and drink to me after the op and also the admin staff who made the appointments and also the volunteer staff who meet and greet in the outpatients clinic. I was so happy to receive such excellent care from Newark Hospital and cannot commend it highly enough. At such a scary time it was so nice to have such professional and pleasant staff looking after me who were able to allay any fears that I had and to make it actually quite a pleasant experience strange to say!
