"DIRTY, CARELESS, NEGLECT"

About: Hereford County Hospital

After a major heart attack my granddad was submitted into Hereford hospital, while visiting the conditions I found were HORRENDOUS to the point where I think he is much more likely to die been in there. The floor is discussing on the ward, black with dirt, the system for ordering food is just beyond belief, the person in the bed the previous week orders the food for the following week so when that person leaves who ever is in the bed next has to have what the previous person ordered regardless of any dietary requirements such as been a vegetarian. After just having a major heart attack they gave him chips, burgers and pasty's 3 meals in a row like that's going to help. The nurse had no explanation or care about this what so ever. They said to him if he required any assistance just ring the buzzer, he rand it for 3 hours during the night as he was freezing and no one answered. When we questioned the nurses about this they just said to him "Were you in pain?", he said "No I was freezing" they answered "Well just buzz if your in pain". If no one answered how would they know if he isn't in pain, having another heart attack or just freezing cold? The only clean he has had in 3 days was with a wet wipe we brought for him, most of the staff refuse or can't speak or understand English. IT'S A SICK JOKE!!!! He should have been moved to Birmingham but they wouldn't because it would mean they would lose a few hours of their weekend. AVOID this hospital at ALL COSTS. I now fear for my granddads life everyday he is in there.
