I am currently attempting to solve my concerns re. the Hospital Complaints Procedure. I would not recommend the Consultant I saw under any circumstances. Bombastic, unsympathetic, did not listen properly so made a number of errors in their Report, made rude and inaccurate written remarks which until removed from my file make me reluctant to seek treatment elsewhere. So I am in pain still and considerably poorer into the bargain. I am already Disabled, money is tight and travelling to the Hospital was not easy. I am sure other Consultants must be better. I was foolish, I believed this person's own publicity blurb. I am not a difficult person, I have seen many Consultants, some of them world renowned in other Specialities, and I have a background in Health Advocacy. The Complaints Department are doing their best but even when I wrote initially disproving all the inaccuracies from this Consultant and suggesting how we could proceed the consultant has still left almost all inaccuracies on record, they also took longer than the timescales to make their poor quality response, which just caused further distress. Believe me if there was an option of giving this person a no star rating or worse I would do so. Whatever solution is eventually reached in my case I will still be wishing to save anyone else from similar woes, as this Consultant seems incapable of acknowledging the distress they have caused and totally unwilling to back down from their factual errors.
