"A and e visit"

I would like to thank the wonderful staff in a and e and emu. My local hospital aren't very good and I am a outpatient at the Louise cootes unit at tommies, my husband decided to take me to London a and e, as the day before i had to endure a four and a half hour wait at my local, hospial and no one there even looked at my bruising - which has now been diagnosed by st thomas' as an abscess in my thigh. The kindness, professionalism and clinical knowledge shown by all members of staff was exceptional. As my abscess initially presented as a bruise, or injection site (I am an anticoagulant pt) after ultra sound when it became obvious that I was suffering from an abscess,the staff were great, apologetic that they may have miscalled it, and generally attentive and warm. Tis experience sadly, shocked me and my husband as our experience of "care" at a and e has NEVER been like this before. I am due to have an MRI soon re my thigh and am now under the ortho team. Thank you everyone who saw me on Wednesday 10th, from triage to registrar to nurse in a and e, to the radiographer and the ortho team. I am delighted that people in the NHS still care and you and your hospital have restored my faith and should be very proud to be doing the jobs you do, in such a wonderful hospital - thank you .
