I was in hospital in August for a Hysterectomy, and the ward staff were good, but I would like to pay special thanks to one nurse on Nights for who explained the correct way of getting out of bed and making sure I was comfortable over the 3 nights I was in. The issue I have is there being no help when leaving the hospital, there should be a quicker response to delivering medication, the ward asked the pharmacy to call when it was ready but they didn't, it was passed to the Porter to deliver which meant I couldn't leave till 8pm after being discharged at around 3pm. There was no wheel chair provided, I was told to tell my husband to look round the corridors for one, This should be brought to the ward for patients who are unable to walk all the way to the car park. I had to return to have my stitches out 2 days later and again there were no wheel chairs near the entrance for F16. There should be chairs at all entrances.
"Staff good but wheel chairs are in short supply"
