I went today (30 Aug 2013) to the A&E at Charing Cross Hospital because I wanted to see a GP but I did not have an appointment. I had an argument with a doctor. 1- I told her that "I saw a GP here 3 weeks ago". For 5 minutes she told me this was impossible and did not want to check me until I agreed with her. I always come to Charing Cross Walk-In Centre to see a GP. She did not know the A&E and the GP Surgery are in the same building and did not want to admit it. 2 - I am French and I need some forms to be filled for my medical insurance. She refused to sign it. Although the document is written in many languages, including English, she said she didn't understand the document and refused to sign it. In total, I waited for more than an hour for nothing. This doctor did not want to sign my form. So I left pretty upset. All that interested this doctor was to have somebody to sign for her stay at the A&E that day and be sure she could leave at 18h00 (she talked about this with a colleague in front of me). I think she was not interested in being there on that day! I am sorry if I was rude, but I just wanted my pain to be treated and to have my form filled. I always have this form signed at the GP... whe the A&E can't accept it? I had nothing after waiting for more than an hour.
"Unhappy with a doctor"
