"Terrible nursing staff"

About: Peterlee Community Hospital

I went to the walk in centre as i am 26 wks pregnant and could not get in my own doctors, turns out i had a water infection and was pain with my stomach, the nurse was very unfriendly and said because i was pregnant i should not have gone there. Very uncaring and i shall not be returning to this walk in centre,it was an emergency and i thought thats what it was there for. My partner and myself were not happy about the way i was spoke to as a pregnant woman its a very scary time and not knowing what the pain was,in future i shall go to another walk in centre.

Dear Rachie83, We are sorry to hear of the negative experience you received while at our walk-in centre, as this is not the high level of care that we aim to achieve when looking after patients. We would like to apologise for the care you received and hope that you have made a full recovery. We hope that your pregnancy is going well and would like to congratulate you on the impending birth of your child.
