"Disappointing"

About: Queen's Hospital (Romford)

After about a year of waiting to get an appointment at the Orthodontic clinic, I finally got one but it was cancelled because the doctor wasn't in. I got another one but the time was changed for no explained reason. When i finally came for the Appointment i was given at the Orthodontic Clinic, I waited for about 45 minutes with about 5 different patients who also had an appointment at the Clinic. A lady finaly came and said we could not be attended to because of some problems with the Clinic. There were no further explanations, we just had to leave. I have a terrible underbite and it only gets worse as time goes.

I am very sorry to hear that your appointment has been postponed so many times. Having to change clinics occasionally is unfortunately unavoidable, due to staff sickness or clinical emergencies, but it is unacceptable that you should have had your appointment repeatedly cancelled. If you would like to contact me through our PALS team on 01708 435454 or email PALS@bhrhospitals.nhs.uk we can investigate further. Dr Mike Gill Medical Director
