I was recently treated in AED and wanted to express my thanks to the staff in the department. As a member of staff at the hospital, I am very aware of the pressures that staff are under on a day to day basis and that this can very often lead to negativity. I could not fault the service provided to me and would like to thank all the staff for being very supportive at a very stressful time for me. One very small point that was noted by myself and my partner was that the AED reception staff and following this, OPD reception staff, were not very welcoming at either stage of my journey with my partner commenting that ‘they’re happy in their work aren’t they?’ . I do recognise that this is very often a challenging job and they see lots of people throughout their working day, but I just thought I would mention it as they are very often the first members of staff that patients see and I would hate for this to reflect badly on the amazing work our staff do every single day. From a friends and family point of view, would I recommend our hospital? Absolutely.
