"Section 136 assessment suite"

I was taken to the section 136 suite at Rochford hospital In June 2013, it followed me being attacked and suffering a head injury. Unfortunately as I couldn't remember my own name and no one knew I had been attacked this led police officers to fear I may have had a mental disorder. My injuries were treated at Southend hospital, I was then taken to the 136 suite at Rochford, there I was greeted by the most caring 2 nurses you could dream to have. I was very frightened at being in a mental health unit, even more frightened as I knew I was concussed and not mentally ill. The nurses did everything they could to reassure me, and answered all the questions I had. I was given very strong painkillers at Southend hospital for my injuries, I started suffering palpitations, chest tightness and vomiting. They got a dr to me immediately, the site manager insisted if my symptoms carried on she would call for an ambulance. After being examined by a dr the nurse made me tea and toast which I couldn't manage, so gave me water, held my hand when I was petrified and being sick, and was nothing but kind caring and had my best interests at the forefront of everything they done. The police had to stay as I had to go to a police station to give evidence afterwards, she made them very welcome. The nurses gave me a blanket and pillow and encouraged me to sleep which I was reluctant to, I felt so comfortable with these nurses I amazed myself and fell asleep during what was by far the most awful experience of my life! All in I think I was there around an hour and a half, before the mental health team assessed and released me, the mental health team are another story. But for Rochford hospital itself, the staff were amazing, dedicated, hard working, very easy to speak to, and helped me through a difficult time before releasing me into the care of the police to have the attack dealt with. I will never be able to thank the site manager and the nurse enough for their care, compassion and everything they did for me. The section 136 suite is also immaculately clean! Thank you Rochford hospital for looking after me when I needed it most!
